Extra Credit Opportunity: The Mixed Up Legacy of 1492

In this weekend's Boston Globe, acclaimed journalist and author James Carroll write about the "mixed up" legacy of Christopher Columbus' exploration and exploitation of the New World.

Interested in some extra credit? Please read the article and write a paragraph response reflecting your opinion and also summarizing Carroll's main points.

I will not talk about extra credit in class, so the benefit goes to those who read the blog regularly.

Paragraphs are due by FRIDAY, October 15th.
